Calabrian Olive Oil Giveaway

Here is a great opportunity for all of you in the U.S., brought to you by the lovely Cherrye of My Bella Vita blog, who runs the Cedro B&B in Calabria! Olive oil is not only made in Tuscany, but rather all over the boot of Italy and around the Mediterranean. Cherrye reports that 25% of Italy's olive oil production is made in Calabria. I am willing to bet that a lot of it is rebottled as Tuscan as well... but Italian tricks aside, this is a great chance to win some of this liquid gold to taste for yourself!

To be eligible to win the free 250ml bottle of Calabrian olive oil, all you need to do is become a Facebook fan of Monica’s Fine Foods (who just began distributing Calabrian olive oil in the States) before Friday, February 26 at 5:00 PM (Pacific Time). At that point, Monica will randomly select a winner from her Facebook Fans and the winner will be announced at My Bella Vita on Monday, March 1.

Bloggers, this part is for you …

For your chance to win a $50 gift certificate to Monica’s Fine Foods, just re-post this contest information in full on your website or blog by Friday, February 26 at 5:00 PM. Leave a comment on My Bella Vita telling us about your post, and you will automatically be entered into the drawing.

Due to distribution restrictions, Monica can only ship items in the US and Canada, so if you have a US address … you are good to go!

Good luck everyone!

He is learning when to use all of his colloquial English expressions! But yes, good oil is veeeeery important. We had some great Tuscan oil this year but I definitely need to taste more Calabrian oil next time I visit. Last night at the Chianti Classico tasting in Florence there was an enomatic wine machine that had oil bottles! There was some serious oil tasting going on!
